UK Clinical Teaching Fellows Forum 2019

Saturday 8 June 2019, 9:15 - 16:45
The Postgraduate Centre, Frimley Park Hospital, Portsmouth Road, Frimley, Camberley, GU16 7UJ
We would like to invite you to the First UK Clinical Teaching Fellows Forum to be held on Saturday the 8th of June at Frimley Park Hospital in partnership with the Academy of Medical Educators. This meeting is targeted at teaching fellows, medical education fellows, clinical teaching fellows and those seeking to begin or further their involvement in medical education.
The aim of this conference is to allow delegates to share ideas and to consider how we can work collaboratively to further the fantastic work being undertaken up and down the country. All delegates are invited to attend a roundtable session to discuss the creation of a national teaching fellows network which can help to facilitate this collaboration year-round. Your input in to the roles of teaching fellows across the country and ways in which better links, support and sharing of ideas can take place will be key in shaping the network to provide maximum benefit to everyone.
The day will also be packed with educational ideas and advice on how to get the most out of your teaching sessions, as well as talks on how to pursue a career in medical education, and ways of raising support for your work within your own institutions.
Sessions will include:
Keynote from Professor Roberto Di Napoli, St. George's University of London, entitled ‘Teaching with active learning in mind
Welcome from Neil Dardis, Chief Executive of Frimley Health Foundation Trust 'Engaging the Board'
Podium and poster presentations by delegates.
