First Medical Educators Day Poster FINAL without BLEED

Medical Educators’ Day 1 (MED1) takes place in Cardiff on 7 March 2020.  This collaboration between Cardiff and Vale UHB and the Academy of Medical Educators will bring together colleagues from across the UK involved in medical education from FY1 upwards for a day exploring all the practicalities and pitfalls, best practice and tips for succeeding when you’re really up against it (students with an interest in medical education are also very welcome).

There will be plenary sessions, workshops, short presentations and posters.  We will be looking at the importance of theory behind medical education, as well as the day to day practicalities of being a medical educator including themes like:

  • career support and development
  • developing educational resources
  • skills to be an effective educator
  • dealing with difficult situations
  • assessment, feedback and reflection
  • simulation
  • evidence based medicine
  • innovation.

We invite abstract submissions for 60-minute workshops, 10-minute platform presentations and poster presentations that will help your colleagues to deal with these challenges.

Please submit your abstract here.   The deadline for submission is 17:00 2 January 2020.

Registration is now open.
