The Academy of Medical Educators' 2020 Spring Academic Meeting takes place at The Albert Hall in Nottingham on Wednesday 29 April.

Across the healthcare professions, high quality patient care requires teams that work together. Increasingly, professionals recognise that to do this effectively, they must also learn together. Interprofessional learning is enshrined in the values of the NHS, HEE, GDC, RCVS, and many other healthcare organisations. Professional regulators now recognise and expect that it is a part of healthcare professionals’ training. However, as the culture of collaborative learning develops, questions remain: How do we learn together for patient care? What does good practice look like, and how are we sharing that good practice?

The Academy of Medical Educators’ one-day conference gives teachers in medicine, dentistry, veterinary science, and other health professions a platform to explore learning together for patient care.

The Spring meeting is one of the best opportunities for educators across the health professions to come together to share good practice and the latest innovations in healthcare education, as well as for networking, academic collaboration, and professional development. The conference will feature keynote speakers, workshops, short presentations and posters.

Abstracts are now being invited for submission via the online portal. The programme will include a wide range of Workshops, Short Oral Presentations, Posters and Keynote speakers.  We welcome submissions which address the conference theme 'Learning Together for Patient Care'.  Abstracts should be no more than 250 words and can include up to 3 references, full details can be viewed on the submission portal.

Abstract submission closes 5pm (GMT) 6 November 2019.  Corresponding authors will be notified by 5pm 13 December 2019.
