Learning Together for Patient Care: Fall Back; Spring Forward will now take place as a fully virtual conference over three days on 14, 15 and 16 September 2021.

We will shortly be contacting all those who submitted work in 2020 to give them the opportunity to present it in the autumn. More details and registration options will be available soon. Please look out for them here and put the date in your diary! .

Across the healthcare professions, high quality patient care requires teams that work together. Increasingly, professionals recognise that to do this effectively, they must also learn together. Interprofessional learning is enshrined in the values of the NHS, HEE, GDC, RCVS, and many other healthcare organisations. Professional regulators now recognise and expect that it is a part of healthcare professionals’ training. However, as the culture of collaborative learning develops, questions remain: How do we learn together for patient care? What does good practice look like, and how are we sharing that good practice?

The Academy of Medical Educators’ conference gives teachers in medicine, dentistry, veterinary science, and other health professions a platform to explore learning together for patient care.

The annual meeting is one of the best opportunities for educators across the health professions to come together to share good practice and the latest innovations in healthcare education, as well as for networking, academic collaboration, and professional development. The conference will feature keynote speakers, workshops, short presentations and posters.
