AoME spring 2020 conference posponed

After very careful consideration, the Academy of Medical Educators has taken the decision to postpone our spring conference, scheduled for 29 April at the Albert Hall in Nottingham.

We have reached the decision following a detailed risk assessment, taking in to account advice from senior medical practitioners and the government’s ongoing guidance on the coronavirus situation. We do not believe it would be right or responsible to proceed with the conference when the NHS is in such need of its expert workforce, and we are equally mindful of our responsibility to support efforts to delay the spread of COVID19 across the UK.

We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause to those  who were planning to attend and present at the event. We hope to reschedule the event for later in 2020 and will update our website as soon as we have confirmed the date.  In the meantime thank you for your patience and understanding.

AoME would like to draw trainers' and trainees' attention to the guidance regarding medical education and training issued by the four Statutory Education Bodies in the UK on the GMC website.
