Academy launches 'Excellence in Medical Education'
The Academy launches the first in its publication series Excellence in Medical Education at the Calman Lecture and awards ceremony on Tuesday 25 October at the Wellcome Collection Conference Centre. Initially the series focusses on the Professional Standards. The first edition looks at the 'Values of Medical Educators'.
Welcoming the first edition, Sean Hilton, President, said 'Excellence in Medical Education is a valuable addition to the Academy's portfolio of resources for members. I think we have made a great start with the first edition, and I must pay credit to the work of our editor, Dr Vimmi Passi, and all the contributors. I hope that Excellence in Medical Education will grow to be recognised as a key publication within the medical education sector and I shall look forward to hearing comments from our members.'
Excellence in Medical Education is available to members of the Academy and published quarterly online. The first edition has been published to allow universal (public) access; future editions will only be available to members using the member's area of the Academy's website.
