Fairness and Equity in Medical Education

orange-food-juicy-fruit-65923The Academy of Medical Educators' 9th Annual Academic Meeting

Our annual one day conference takes place in 2018 at Sheffield Hallam University, City Campus, Sheffield S1 1BW, on Wednesday 25 April. Registration is now open - click here!

The Academy of Medical Educators promotes high quality education for the benefit of patients and the public: to achieve high quality teaching and learning we must ensure fairness for all.  In an increasingly highly pressured and competitive NHS and higher education environment how do we ensure that our educational practice is entirely fair and equitable? What are the barriers to a fair approach and how can we be sure that unconscious factors are not affecting our decisions regarding students and trainees, colleagues, staff and patients?

We are now calling for abstracts for the conference. Click here to submit. DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS IS 5 PM BST, Friday 3 November 2018

This is one of the best opportunities for medical, dental, and veterinary educators to come together to share good practice and the latest innovations in healthcare education and for networking, academic collaboration, and professional development. The conference will feature keynote speakers, workshops and short presentations designed to support colleagues in advancing their work as medical, dental, and veterinary educators. Draft programme available shortly.
